Junior Chemistry Challenge
During the Lent Term, 54 students from Years 9 to 11 participated in the Junior Chemistry Challenge, a demanding 45‑minute written examination designed to test students at a level comparable to Sixth Form study. The group achieved a staggering 15 Gold, 24 Silver, 12 Copper and 3 Iron awards; an amazing outcome. These students will go on to enter the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge later in the year, where they will have another opportunity to showcase their talents.
International Chemistry Olympiad
Students from Year 10 to Upper Sixth met with great success once again in the UK First Round of the International Chemistry Olympiad. Special mention goes to Ben C (L6), Austin R and Alex RH (both U6), whose scores placed them in the top 2% of participants (17,241) nationally.
