Athletics
At the Regional IAPS Championships, our medal winners (first and second qualify for national finals in Birmingham):

Evie broke the inter girls javelin record on sports day, throwing 32.83m
Tiffany broke the inter girls shot-put record on sports day, throwing 11.39m
At the Trinity Schools Athletics meeting, held at Sevenoaks, Sevenoaks finished fourth.
Basketball
The U12 boys beat Trinity 35-19 in the Junior NBA.
Charity
Ben, Charles and Noah swam 1.3km, cycled 60km and ran 14km to over £2000 to raise money for MOVE Against Cancer. Donate here.
Cricket
The U13A girls have reached the national final in Southampton, having beaten JAGS then Epsom in the regional final.
The U15A boys won the T20 Cup, beating Kent College in the semi-final and King’s Canterbury in the final.
The U15A boys beat Wilson’s School in the last ball of the match.
Individual highlights
- Imogen scored 140 no from 50 balls for Holmesdale in the 3rd round of the national cup. Imogen also scored 50 not out off 27 balls for Kent U13s.
- Aarav scored 108* vs King’s Canterbury in the final of the T20 Cup, after wicket keeping for 40 overs and scoring 50* in the semi-final. His century was an outstanding innings to chase down to the target of 156.
- Alex scored 50 for the U15As.
- Bella scored 77 for the U13As.
- Eva scored 50 for Kent U13.
- Millie scored 57 no for the U13A girls.
- Sam scored 50 for the 1st XI v Caterham.
Dance
At the Dance Championships competition, at the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks:
- Gabby – 1st place in the Solo (age 15-18) category plus the judges’ stand-out buzzer, awarded for a routine that ‘captures attention, showcases exceptional talent and leaves a lasting impression’.
- Sophie – 2nd place in the Solo (age 15-18) category
- Eva and Tiffany – 1st place in the Duet/Trio category plus a judge’s special award for best piece of the evening.
This is the first year of Sevenoaks entering dance. Over the two competitions this year, Sevenoaks have entered 24 students, in two teams plus four solos and a duet.
Fencing
Georgina finished in 3rd place in the Hong Kong U20 Fencing Championships (Women’s Épée).
Dora won bronze at the Kent U14 fencing championships for épée.
Hockey
Moritz has been selected to represent England U18s for the 8 Nations Tournament to be held in the Netherlands.
Mille and Rory have been selected to represent the South Saxons.
Sailing
At the RS Feva National Championships in Plas Heli, Wales. Sevenoaks finished as the top school, for the seventh time in 11 years. Sixteen Sevenoaks School students competed in the four-day regatta, which attracted sailors from all over the UK as well as international sailors from Europe, with 101 entries in total.

Izzy will sail for Great Britain in Germany at the Kiel 29er Eurocup and the 29er World Championships this summer.
At the BSDRA National Team Racing Championships, the junior team were crowned champions! The seniors also did well and finished as runners up in their race.
Shooting
At the Kent Long Range Open Competition:
- Junior Competition: Sasha – 2nd
- Class C 50m competition: Bella – won, Simi – 2nd, Eugen – 3rd
- Class C 100y competition: Isabella – 1st, Oliver – 2nd, Suri – 3rd
- Class C Combined 50m and 100y competition: Bella – 1st, Isabella – 2nd, Suri – 3rd
At the BSSRA Summer 2026 League:
- Sevenoaks A and Sevenoaks D teams won their respective divisions.
- Sevenoaks B team finished second in Section 1 Division 4, just one point behind the leaders.
- Sevenoaks C team and Sevenoaks E team came fourth.
Swimming
Millie qualified in three events and has been invited to compete at the Scottish National Championships in Aberdeen in the 200m freestyle and 100m backstroke.
Tennis
The U15 boys finished sixth in the Eton pairs competition. The competition is a doubles format, featuring the top 16 schools in the south-east.
Tommy and Herbie won the St George’s pairs competition, held on the grass at Magdalen College, Oxford. They saved match points vs Bradfield in the quarter finals and then beat St Paul’s in semis and Whitgift in the final, both 6-0.
At the mixed doubles tournament with Wellington, Epsom, Cranleigh, Lord Wandsworth and Haileybury:
- Seniors – 2nd
- U15s – 1st
- U14s – 1st
Staff news
Lewis Church competed in the World Athletics Combined Events Tour Gold meeting in Gotzis. He secured an excellent 17th place finish with 7666 points.
