School Transport

An advantage of Sevenoaks is its transport links. The town is located not far from the A21 and M25, and is less than 30 minutes to  Central London by train, with excellent rail links to London Charing Cross, Waterloo and London Bridge.

We run a school transport service that includes a Home to School Bus network for surrounding towns and villages as well as a Shuttle Bus service to and from Sevenoaks Station.

All bookings for school bus routes are made via our online booking system, Vectare. Payments for the bus service are expected to be made prior to the start of each term. Payment reminders and notifications or reminders will be sent on the following dates:

24 September 2026 for Michaelmas Term

01 January 2027 for Lent Term

05 April 2027 for Summer Term

Your child’s name will automatically be added to the transport register. The booking system also incorporates an interactive journey planner which allows you to enter your postcode and find your closest bus stop.

Home to school bus service

Our Home to School Bus service includes five routes and runs from Monday to Friday.

The school partners with Vectare, a specialist school transport company, to provide the service.

Vectare are responsible for over two million independent school journeys every year across the country.

The service is an easy and efficient transport solution for students and supports our work on sustainability, with the hope of taking a substantial number of cars off the roads locally.

We currently run routes from Edenbridge, Bromley, Tunbridge Wells, Kings Hill and Cranbrook. The buses leave school at 17:30 (Monday-Thursday) and 16:30 (Fridays), after clubs and activities have finished.

Please be advised that all routes will run subject to demand.

Stop requests

The bus network is continually reviewed and adapted to better meet the needs of students and their families. As part of this ongoing process, if the Sevenoaks bus network does not currently serve your area, or your nearest designated bus stop is not conveniently located, you are welcome to submit a stop request to Vectare.

While Vectare will make every reasonable effort to accommodate requests for additional stops, please note that it may not be possible to fulfil every request. To submit a stop request, please complete the Contact Us form.
