The partnerships we offer are innovative, accessible, and relevant for local school children and teachers so they can take part in different events and activities that best support them.

As a school we have superb facilities, resources, and individuals available to help the local community and our students learn and develop through the partnerships we are involved in.

We partner with the Sevenoaks Partnership of Primary Schools , a collaboration of 32 primary schools across the Sevenoaks area.

Each week many of the primary schools visit us for enrichment activities, swimming sessions, or sports tournaments. Led by our students and supported by our staff, the activities in art, music, PE, design and technology, and drama, prove very popular with many primary schools signing up a year in advance.

Over a hundred of our students also enjoy weekly visits to the local primary schools to offer support in a variety of areas, such as robotics, reading, chess, sports, Latin and music.

We provide venues for the Partnership schools’ staff and leadership training, with over 30 training sessions hosted in 2022-23.

“The support from Sevenoaks in providing the children of our school rich, learning experiences has been outstanding!”

Holiday activity programme sevenoaks (HAPS)

HAPS enables students from local state primary schools who are highly engaged in science, art, drama, maths and music to develop their knowledge, skills, and aptitudes in these subject areas. Specially designed courses are run by Sevenoaks School teachers.

The next HAPS course will run from Tuesday 20 to Thursday 22 August 2024.

STEM Week for primary schools

STEM Week

In our annual STEM week in March, over 1,500 primary school children join us for a series of interactive shows.

In 2023, Physics workshops included topics such as forces, electricity and magnetism. In Biology, students learnt about pond life, teeth, bones and microscopes. Chemistry classes covered separation techniques, changes of state and chemical reactions. Students from our FIRST Robotics team supported a robotics workshop. Our Head of Physics also used liquid nitrogen to explore the fascinating world of cryogenics.
