In 2016, we launched three Institutes designed to power our educational principles and connect our students to the world beyond school.

Higher Education and Professional Insight

The Institute of Higher Education and Professional Insight offers an evolving and wide-ranging programme to inform and inspire our students. They have access to strong links with university admissions tutors and a rich network of alumni and employers, which helps them explore how to realise their ambitions. Our students are accepted at a range of top universities and go onto vibrant careers, with many returning to Sevenoaks to inspire the next generation.

“Higher Education support and guidance at Sevenoaks is an integrated part of the holistic education offered here.”

Wendy Heydorn, Director of the Institute of Higher Education and Professional Insight

Teaching and Learning

The Institute of Teaching and Learning is the school’s educational research hub. It leads and facilitates investigations by staff into different areas of education and learning to help shape the development of our broad curriculum, and inform teaching practice across the school. Through research, innovative thought and meaningful collaboration with other educational organisations, we aim to constantly improve the teaching and learning taking place in the classroom and beyond.
