Congratulations to the Class of 2026 on their outstanding results. This year, our cohort of more than 250 IB students together achieved an IB Diploma average score of 39.6 points, around 10 points above the world average.
Our most common Diploma score was 43, with 30 students achieving this impressive total. Eight students achieved the highest possible Diploma score of 45 points, and well over half of the cohort (138 students) achieved 40 points or more.
The Headmaster, Mr Jesse Elzinga, said: ‘I am delighted with this remarkable set of IB Diploma results. A Sevenoaks education is about so much more than just exams, and this year group worked with commitment, intellectual curiosity and kindness throughout their IB Diploma studies. They fully embraced a wide range of co-curricular opportunities, and today we celebrate their exceptional results. Congratulations to the Class of 2026, and Godspeed.’
Sevenoaks is one of the world’s leading IB schools, and our cohort is one of the largest of the UK and around the world. All our 500 Sixth Formers take the International Baccalaureate Diploma, which involves the study of six academic subjects and the IB’s Theory of Knowledge course, as well as elements of service, creativity, sport and an extended research project.
Every year, over 220,000 students across the world take the IB Diploma. The IB’s breadth, depth, academic rigour and international outlook empowers our students to flourish at university and in their future careers. Our school leavers are intellectually curious, creative critical thinkers who will help to create a better and more peaceful world.
