Athletics

At the English Indoor Championships in Sheffield, Matilda Murray achieved a new PB and club record in her first heat (9.04) of the 60m hurdles. Matilda won her second heat before unluckily catching the last hurdle in the final.

Basketball

The U15 boys beat Ibstock Place School in the quarter finals of the LISBA cup.

Sevenoaks hosted the U13 Junior NBA competition, finishing second behind Whitgift.

Dance

Zhamilya Pazylkhair has been selected to represent Team England in the International Cheer Union World Championships in Florida over Easter.

Fencing

Daniel Hancock won silver today in the 14U Sabre at the Southeast Region Youth Fencing championships. He now qualifies for nationals in Sheffield in May.

Football

Bethan Thomas will represent the England Independent Schools Football Association U16 team versus English Schools Football Association next week at St George’s Park.

Megan Bello-Mendoza has been selected to represent the England Independent Schools Football Association U18 team.

Bethan Thomas played for the Independent Schools Football Association U16 team versus the English Schools Football Association team, drawing 1-1.

Megan Bello-Mendoza played for the Independent Schools Football Association U18 team, winning 3-1.

Netball

The U12s reached the semi-finals of the Kent County Tournament.

Rugby

The U18 girls reached the semi-finals of the Kent Rugby 7s tournament.

Shooting

At the Kent County Short Range Championships:

  • Isabel Wen – 1st Ladies, 2nd Junior, 2nd B Class
  • Rafe Wormsley – 3rd Junior, 3rd B Class
  • Chris Li – 1st D Class
  • Sasha Woodruff – 2nd D Class

Sailing

Sophia Johnson raced as a helm in the Firefly Inland Championships at Bough Beech and won the U18 trophy.  She also won a team racing event called the Twisted Tube as a crew at Spinnaker Sailing Club competing in an adult competition. Last weekend she crewed at a University team racing event held at Queen Mary Sailing Club with a mixed team including four Sevenoaks pupils.  The team came second overall.

Squash

The KS4 girls team won the regional finals, progressing through to the national finals in March.

Swimming

At the Weald and Downland Cup, which included Benenden, Epsom, Tonbridge, Caterham and Wally Hall. The following teams all won gold: inter girls, inter boys and senior boys.

Tennis

Milla Bray represented Great Britain in Estonia at the Winter Cup Qualifiers and in Sunderland, at the Winter Cup Finals. She also won the U12 singles title at the Junior National Tour in Bath and reached the final of the doubles event.

Volleyball

The U15 girls won the round 2 group of the Volleyball England Tier 1 competition and have qualified for the national finals, ranking themselves in the top eight schools and clubs in the country.
