Basketball

Elodie De Jonge was part of the Sevenoaks Suns U14 side who have reached the national play-offs after winning against Team Solent Kestrels.

Climbing

At the Southern Schools Climbing Competition Ruben Tandy (Y10) came joint first in the U16 boys’ competition (but won the climb-off!). Ruby Thomas (Y9) came third in the U16 girls’ competition. Sevenoaks were placed second overall and were only 1.6 points out of 205 below HPPC. Also competing were Niamh Harmer (Y9), Ryan Friis (Y11), Anthony Bristow (Y12).

Fencing

Amelie represented Great Britain at the Cadet (U17) World Championships in Dubai and finished 13th. She has now been selected to represent Team Great Britain at senior level at the following competitions:

  • Senior World Cup in Belgrade, Serbia;
  • Senior World Cup in Tauberbischofsheim, Germany
  • Senior Grand Prix in Incheon, South Korea

She is also looking forward to represent England at the fencing Commonwealth Games at senior level in the summer.

Football

Bethan Thomas has been invited to the London and SE Region Discovering Talent Event held at Surrey Sports Park on 7 May.

Hockey

In addition to winning the Tier 1 cup last week, Ines Gascoyne-Day, Georgina Hadden and Celia Foster were also plate winners in the Supra league, representing Knole Park U14s.

Swimming

At the South East Regional Championships Maddie Evans became 100 Butterfly Regional Champion. Maddie also won silver in the 50m front crawl and 100m backstroke. Tom Ellershaw became 100 Breaststroke Regional Champion and is also now the 50m BK Regional U11/12 record holder. Tom also won silver in the 200m breaststroke.

Tennis

At the Kent Boys’ Doubles, Sevenoaks A were winners and Sevenoaks B were runners up. Our Y9/10 side finished third while our Seniors finished third and fourth. Sevenoaks had the biggest representation of teams on the day and the organiser was particularly impressed by the Seniors who showed maturity and proactivity to organise their tournament.

At the ISL Round 1, Sevenoaks won 32 sets to finish first overall, with New Hall still to play. If successful, this should put our teams in the top division for the second round.
