Sporting highlights

Our U13 girls' cricket team are national champions!

Athletics

At the Kent Championships:

  • Matilda won the U16 80m hurdles in a new PB of 11.71s.
  • Tiffany came second in the U16 80m hurdles.
  • Matilda also won the U16 300m hurdles, in a club record and new PB of 43.96s.

At the London Schools Pentathlon Championships Matilda finished first in Kent and Tiffany finished third. They have both been selected to represent Kent in the inter-counties later this month

Cricket

The U13 girls are national indoor cricket champions. This is an amazing achievement given over 900 school teams enter the tournament. The U13 girls won the county and regional tournaments, then played Bournemouth School for Girls, Sedbergh Prep, Brentwood School and St Helen’s and St Katherine’s at the Lord’s Performance Centre in the finals. They won three of their four matches on the day to be crowned national champions to add to their outdoor title they won last year.

Individual achievements:

  • Chloe scored 150 not out for Kent U16 Girls v Sussex.
  • Ruby scored 152 not out for Kent U16 Girls v Sussex.
  • Bella scored 96 not out in the U13 ECB National Cup.
  • Karam took 5 wickets for the 1st XI.
  • Imogen scored 79 for the U13 girls.
  • Millie scored 69 for the U13 girls.
  • Millie scored 63 not out for Kent U13 girls.
  • Eva scored 62 for the U13 girls.
  • Dev scored 55 for the U14A v Kent College.
  • Imogen scored 53 for the U13 girls.
  • Chloe scored 50 for the U14A boys.
  • Bella scored 50 not out for the U13A boys.
  • Chloe scored 50 not out for the U15A v Bromley High.

Football

The U13 girls finished third in the southeast ISFA Tournament. Millie won the golden boot, scoring five goals and Sophia was awarded an individual award.

Hockey

The following students have earned the following titles with their teams:

  • Caroline won the U14 Supra League National Final.
  • Elisabetta, Milly, Jess, Isobel and Annelie were runners up at the U14 Supra League National Final.
  • Isabel won U12 nationals.
  • Rufus came third at U12 nationals.

Sailing

At the RS Feva Spring Championship:

  • Sevenoaks finished fourth overall
  • 1st school boat: Iris and Ava
  • 5th overall: Torben and Fin
  • 10th overall: Peggy and Sophia

At the Bough Beech RS Feva Open:

  • 1st, Poppy-Grace and Giacomo (winning 3 of the 6 races),
  • 3rd, Felix and Reuben
  • 7th, Kian and Poala
  • 10th, Valentin and Ayaz

At the BSDRA Southern Championships at Spinnaker Sailing Club, Sevenoaks Red team of Torben, Fin, Peggy, Sophia, Samuel and Charlotte came third overall, narrowly losing in the semi-finals to the eventual winners Royal Hospital School.

Squash

Ciara finished 12th in the U19 European Championships in Poland. Her French team won the team championship. Ciara also finished second in the U19 French National Tournament.

Anika finished third in the Luxembourg Junior Open.

Swimming

At the South East Regional Championships

Charles – 3rd, 200 Fly; 7th, 400 IM; 12th, 100 Fly; 15th, 50 Fly
Salma – 20th, 50 BR
Amelia – 26th, 50 BR; 14th, 200 BR.
Serena – 4th, 50 FS

At the South East Regional Championships.

Damian – 5th, 50 FC; 6th, 50 BK; 9th, 100 BK; 10th, 100 FLY; 18th, 200 IM.
Serena – 2nd, 50 BR; 2nd, 100 BR

Tennis

The U15 boys finished third in the Kent County doubles tournament. Nathan and Declan beating Eltham in the tie break to win third place.

The Independent Schools League is played by the top 16 school teams in the South East over two weekends. Having won their group last week, the senior boys played the other three schools that topped their group on the previous weekend, finishing second from 16 schools. The inter boys team won their group on the second weekend beating St Paul’s, Abingdon and Epsom.

At the Girls National Doubles Tournament:

  • Lola and Isa won the middle school tournament.
  • Eva and Mila were runners up in the junior school tournament.

At the Girls Kent Doubles Tournament:

  • Lola and Isa won the U15 tournament.
  • Eva and Mila won the U13 tournament.

Volleyball

At the ACS Cobham beach mixed pairs tournament, the boys won Division 4, earned third in Division 2 and third in Division 3. The girls finished second on Division 2 and second in Division 3.

Old Sennockians

Ben Dawkins played for Kent 1st XI v Derbyshire in the County Championship. Ben also scored 65 for Kent 1st XI v Gloucestershire and scored 180 for Kent 1st XI v Durham, batting against the England captain Ben Stokes.

Coco Street scored 104 no v Sussex for Kent Women’s 1st XI. Coco also scored 89 for Kent 1st XI v Glamorgan
