Sporting highlights

Basketball

The U13 boys won five matches and lost three in the Junior NBA regional round.

The U18 boys beat Ardingly 75–56 to move into the last 16 of the National Cup.

The U17 boys beat St Dunstan’s 72–54 in the LISBA Cup.

Cross Country

At the south-east counties championships, representing Kent:

  • Junior girls: Eva, 29th (qualified for the English Schools nationals)
  • Inter girls: Jemima, 54th; Lily, 62nd
  • Senior girl: Amelia, 43rd
  • Senior boys: Ben, 25th

Football

The girls’ 1st VII won the shield at the ISFA 7s at Bradfield.

The girls’ U15A VII came second on penalties in the final of the plate at the Lord Wandsworth College tournament.

The girls’ U13A and U13B both beat Surbiton High in the first fixtures of the season.

The 2nd XI Boys beat Dulwich on penalties in the Trinity Cup round two.

Hockey

The girls’ 1st XI beat Framlingham College 2-1 in the Tier 1 Cup.

Imogen, Scarlett, Elisa and Emilia became Girls Under 16 National Indoor Club Champions with their team.

The U13 boys reached the semi-finals of the Kent County Tournament, losing to the eventual champions.

The U13 boys beat Caterham 3-0 in the first round of the National Plate.

Netball

The girls’ 1st VII played in the regional finals having won the Kent tournament.

The U13A girls reached the quarter finals at the Kent tournament.

Rugby

The U13A boys’ sevens team won all their matches at the Sutton Valence Tournament.

Shooting

The following students have been selected to represent the England Schools Team in the BSSRA International match.

  • England A Team: Sasha
  • England D Team: Gabriel, Simi, April

Squash

The KS5 boys finished third at the regional finals.

The KS4 girls finished first in the regionals finals and qualify for the national finals.

The KS5 girls finished second at the regional finals and qualify for the national finals.

Sevenoaks have five teams qualified for the national finals in Birmingham.

  • Damian (16 age group): 8th, 200 FLY; 3rd, 100 Back; 6th, 50 BK; 9th, 400FC; 9th, 200IM
  • Charles (17 age group): 5th, 200 FLY; 7th, 400 FC; 10th, 200IM
  • Serena (13 age group): 1st, 100 BR; 1st, 50 BR; 5th, 50 BK
  • Amelia (16 age group): 8th, 100 BR; 14th, 200 IM; 7th, 50 BK

Table Tennis

At the Kent Individual championships:

  • Summer – Bronze medal in U13 cup
  • Tina – Gold medal in U13 Consolation cup
  • Isabella – Gold in U16 Consolation cup
  • Leo – Bronze in U16 cup (Y9 so exceptional achievement)
  • Rio – Gold in U19 Consolation cup

Tennis

Emily, Tommy and Herbie, have been selected for the Kent U18 county team.

Volleyball

Tasia has been selected to attend the Volleyball England Beach Volleyball Futures Camp.

Ohgyu has been selected for the U15 South East Volleyball squad and will be competing at inter-regionals at Loughborough in May.

Old Sennockians

The below students have been named in the National Academic Squads by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The squads are selected from honours undergraduate collegiate student athletes, who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year.
