Basketball

The U18 and U15 boys beat Whitgift School in the LISBA league.

Cross country

At the ESAA Cup Round 1, the junior girls and inter girls won the team event, the senior girls came second and the senior boys fourth.

We also had some great results at the Charterhouse Cup:

  • Inter and senior girls: Hana Maeda 1st, Catilin Miller 4th, Magdalena Hunger 5th, Elsie Openshaw 6th.
  • Inter boys: James Ross 14th.
  • Senior boys: Yugo Maeda 18th, Arthur Goodwin 19th.

At the Thomas Trophy, the girls’ team won the team event. Individual placings were as follows: Eva Vitorino Hiietamm 1st, Helena Stevenson 4th, Emily Tarr 7th, Ben Dilley 6th and Theo Nichols 8th.

Football

In the ISFA Boodles Cup, the 1st XI boys beat King Edward’s Witley 6-0 in round 2. They are now in the draw for the last 32 in this national competition.

The girls’ U15 team beat Bedales 6 – 2 in the first round of the ISFA Cup.

The girls’ 1st XI beat Farringtons 12 – 0 at Sevenoaks Town FC in the ISFA Cup.

The 2nd XI boys beat Judd 1-0 in the Kent County 2nd XI Cup round 1.

Hockey

The 1st team won the county indoor tournament, winning all their matches and moving forwards to the regional finals.

Netball

The U16s have qualified for to the county finals after finishing joint top of their pool in the qualifying rounds.

The U15s beat Walthamstow Hall in the first round of the School Sports Magazine Cup.

Evie Soper has been selected for Kent Potentials, and Alexa Amesimeku, Eva Vitorino Hiietamm, Milly Hunter, Emily Hancock, Alice Court and Victoria Tarasheva have been selected for Kent Development.

Rugby

The 1st XV beat Eltham College 32-7 in the National Vase round 3.

We had a great afternoon of fixtures against Christ’s Hospital on 5 October, with all boys who have chosen rugby representing the school. There were some excellent performances and the U14D team enjoyed another game of T1 non-contact rugby.

Sailing

Sevenoaks won the BSDRA Midlands Team Racing Championships at Farmoor Reservoir near Oxford. Sevenoaks were unbeaten over the course of day, beating MCS in the semi-final and Royal Hospital School in the final. Congratulations to Josh Beverley, Jamie Middleburgh, Oliver Chambers, Grace Davies, Izzy Johnson and Henry Wilkinson.

Eighteen Sevenoaks students competed in the Firefly Inland National Championship at Bough Beech sailing club. They lined up against OS sailors and managed to secure the second and third institution boats, only beaten by a university boat. The overall winner of the event was an Old Sennockian, Nigel Wakefield.

At the RYA ET Team Racing National Championships. Sevenoaks teams finished 8th and 11th in the U19 category, 6th and 16th in the U17s and 14th in the U15s.

Shooting

Isabel Wen and Rafe Wormsley have been selected to join the British Shooting Rifle Pathway for 2024/25, as part of the Development South Squad.

Tennis

In the regional rounds of the national cup, the U13 girls beat St Andrew’s Prep, and the U16 boys and girls beat Lancing College.

Volleyball

Both 1st teams played two very competitive matches against TASIS. Both teams winning narrowly 2 sets to 1.

Annabel Bailey and Cecilia Russo have been invited to trial for the South-East U15 girls’ team and Tasia Nahornaya has been invited to trial at the England Talent Pathway U17 camp.

At the LSSA Junior Varsity (2nd team) tournament, the boys finished first and the girls third.

Old Sennockians

Eva Okaro (OS 2023) has verbally committed to the University of Texas to join their swim programme. The women’s team have won seven NCAA championships.

 

Rex Boulter (OS 2013) won the Rugby League Asian cup representing Japan.
