 Basketball

It was a great day for the U13s at the Jr NBA finals. Well done to everyone involved and a special mention to Dibbe for winning the shooting contest.

Cricket

The girls’ U13A were plate winners at the Reigate Tournament.

Fencing

Alex Greene came third in the boys’ under 15 sabre fencing at the England Youth Championships.

Football

Bethan Thomas played for Kent U14 girls beating a very strong Hertfordshire team in the SE counties cup final after extra time and penalties. Bethan has also been selected for the ISFA U15 Representative Camp in August.

The West Kent District U14 girls, including four Sevenoaks School girls, will receive their league winner’s medals on Saturday. The West Kent girls were undefeated in the league and only lost one match all season, a 2 – 0 loss in the national semi-final, away to Sefton, the eventual winners.

Sailing

A Stellar Saturday for Sevenoaks School Sailors at Datchet Water, Sevenoaks won the BSDRA Thames Valley Championships competing against 14 other schools, they went undefeated through the league stage, before beating RGS 2-0 in the Semi Final and then Winchester 2-0 in the final.

Meanwhile, at the Kent Schools Topper Team Racing Championships held at Westbere Lake, Sevenoaks A won, with Sevenoaks B taking fourth overall. This is an amazing achievement for a team of Year 9 sailors at an U18 competition.

Another very successful day for Sevenoaks Sailors was the BSDRA South East championships for the Hoad Shield – held in very challenging shifty and light wind conditions, racing took place in U18 and U16 divisions with 26 teams from 10 different clubs and schools. Sevenoaks finished second in the U18s and were the first placed school team, after losing to Rutland SC in the finals. The U16s were dominated by Sevenoaks, finishing first, third and fourth overall with Claire’s Court in second

Special mention to Rosie Heydorn and Allegra Fleming who in 2023 have represented the school A team in two U16 and two U18 competitions, finishing first in all four alongside winning the BBSC Feva Open in May.

The boys’ 1st IV beat Eastbourne 5-1 to qualify for the national finals, held at Nottingham during enrichment week. Players were Tim McLain, Matt McLain, Matt Wilkes and Fred Ivey. Theo Dimov will also go to the finals.
