Sporting highlights

A lot of great tournaments for primary age pupils and some good netball and golf news.

Football

Well successfully hosted the U9 and U11 Tournament Radnor House won the U9s and Solefields won the U11s. There were lots of parents and prep school pupils in attendance contributing to an excellent atmosphere.

Golf

Sanjana Sharma was invited to the England Golf Selection Trial for England SE region. She succeeded and is now one of two who are in the England Golf regional squad. The lead pro, Rob, is keen to see Sanjana get a cap for England in the very near future.

The senior team are through to the third round of the HMC Golf competition after beating Brighton 2-1.

Hockey

We organised an excellent U13 hockey tournament involving feeder prep schools from the area and our U13A finished third in the cup while our U12A side finished third in the plate.

Netball

Some pleasing news on the netball selection front:

  • Lottie Hobbs and Lowri Morgan – Kent U15 Development Academy
  • Lara Bailey, Anjola Adekoya and Miya Hargate – Kent U15 Potential Academy

Our first team are through to round 2 in the Sisters in Sport National competition after an impressive performance against Royal Russell who had Scotland and England players. The first team also qualified for the county finals after brilliant performances at the qualifiers. 

The U13 side are through to the second round of the Sisters in Sport competition. 

We organised a primary school partnerships afternoon for 8 schools. Training and teacher CPD was followed by a mini tournament.

Squash

Well done Ciara Boulanger who was runner up in the U15s regional championship at the Limpsfield Club.

Swimming 

Good luck to Eva Okaro and Maddie Evans who are swimming for Kent at the inter county championships in Sheffield this weekend.

Windsurfing

Jamie Middleburgh has been accepted onto the RYA Regional Training Group – London & South East Windsurfer 2022/2023.
