Sporting highlights

The U18 boys won the LISBA league playoffs beating Dulwich 67-59 in the semi final and City of London 52-37 in the final. They have now gone back to back with LISBA titles. The U16 and U15s each finished third in their respective leagues.

The U17 boys beat Beth’s Grammar School in the semi-final of the Kent Cup. This is the first time a Sevenoaks team has reached the Kent Cup Final.


A team comprising three juniors and three seniors competed in the Independent Schools’ Climbing Competition. There were 210 climbers, and Sevenoaks finished 6th out of the 33 teams.

Well done to our teams:

  • Ruben Tandy (came 6th overall as an individual senior), Ryan Friis, Joseph Charkin
  • Frederik Find (came 8th overall as an individual junior), Ruby Thomas (female junior winner), Dan Robertson with Olivia Court as reserve.

Cross country

Max Malkinson and Dan Hadden represented Kent U20s in the UK Inter-counties in Nottingham. Max finished 95th (26:03) and Dan 106th (26:22) from a field of 155 runners. The Kent team finished 14th from 37 counties.


The boys’ U15B team are league champions, having won all 5 matches, scoring 23 and conceding only 4 goals.


The boys 1st XI won the Tier 3 regional round, beating Collyers, Seaford and Harvey Grammar to reach the finals in Nottingham. We wish them the best of luck.

Rugby Sevens

The U13 boys won the Shield at the Windlesham Tournament, beating some very strong teams on route to the final.

The same team also won the Sevenoaks Prep School Invitational 7s tournament.


At the national finals in Birmingham, the Key Stage 3 boys finished fourth, the Key Stage 3 girls finished fifth, and the Key Stage 5 girls finished third in the country.


At the Kent County Swim Championships:

  • Amelia Tovey – 2nd 200 Fly, 3rd 800 FR, 7th 400 FR, 7th 100 Fly, 14th 50 FR.
  • Tom Ellershaw – 5th 100 FC, 2nd 200 BK, 6th 200 FC, 3rd 50 FC
  • Damian Dadkov – 9th 100 FC, 10th 200 BK, 3rd 50 FLY, 8th 400 IM, 7th 100 FLY, 6th 50 FC
  • Charles Dunstan 9th 50 FLY, 6th 100 FLY
  • Chengze Duan 1st 50 FLY (in a new Kent record), 1st 100 FLY


The Y11-13 boys’ team reached the regional final of the Youth Schools Tournament.
