On the 4 February, we hosted the Sevenoaks 2025 Talent Show. Eleven acts, a mix of singers and bands, competed for first place, performing in front of judges Mr Bishop, Mrs Hargreaves and Mr Oberti Oddi.
Third place went to Zhamilya Pazylkhair (Lower Sixth) with an excellent rendition of ‘I’m Here’ from The Color Purple. Second place went to Sofiia Reshetnik and Amelia Aitken (Year 10) singing the classic ‘Valerie’ by Amy Winehouse. First place went to the incredible Year 8 band featuring Rohan Wilkinson, Omar Ahmed and Arthur Dye performing ‘Castle on the Hill’ by Ed Sheeran. Congratulations to all the amazing performers.
The show was in support of two causes: The Red Pencil: Humanitarian Mission which aims to bring the creative arts to those who have been through traumatic life circumstances; and the South Africa Global Partnerships programme, an initiative whereby a group of Sixth Form students come together to raise money for projects that they have worked on during a trip to South Africa. We raised over £1100 for these causes.
