Sporting highlights

Basketball

Our U18 side have won the LISBA play off finals for the first time in the school’s history. They beat top seed Dulwich in the semi finals before narrowly beating City of London in the final. Thanks to the team for their dedication but also to Coach Dimitri Korentzelos whose hard work running the basketball programme is coming to fruition.

Our U15 side finished third at the LISBA play off finals, performing admirably on the day. This means we qualified three teams to the play off finals and are fast gaining a reputation in the sport.

Elodie de Jonge has been invited to be part of the England Talent Programme’s U14 girls team this season! This means that she is one of 20 girls who will represent England at at least one – and potentially three – international events this season. 

Football

Well done to the 1st XI who finished up as runners up in the Kent Cup final to Beths Grammar. They came up just short in the final but did the school proud throughout the competition.

Netball

Well done to our U12 side who were crowned county champions last week. They surpassed expectations against some strong opposition schools.

Rugby 7s

Well done to our U12s (shield final) and U14s (plate final) who did really well at the Reigate 7s tournament on Sunday.

Our U13s did really well at the Kent waterfall tournament winning 4 out of 5 games. They also finished second at the Culley Cup, hosted by Sevenoaks Prep.

Squash

Our squash teams had a great time at the national finals last week. It was a fantastic experience for the players who are keen for more in the future. Results as follows but also a huge thank you to Coach Zeb Young who has masterminded the success in both participation numbers as well as performance. Also thanks to Gala Hermer, our squash captain who moves on at the end of the year.
