On 6 March, a team of Lower Sixth students hosted a charity concert called Rock the House Down. It was a blinding success, with an almost full house.
We had many performances ranging from all the years from Sophie and Emma (Y7) with a heartfelt cover of ‘All of me’ by John Legend, to a medley of classic rock songs like ‘Mr Brightside’ and ‘Purple Rain’ from Ryan (U6), Seia (U6), Johnny (L6) and Byron (Y11). It was so nice to see so many people eager to perform, with a staggering 22 acts, we still got through the concert smoothly and in good time.
We also had a successful bake sale, during the interval where we raised over £300 for Pie Factory Music. Led by boarders Nelly (L6),and Naomi (L6), the Sennocke girls worked very hard to put this on, baking right up until the concert.
Overall, the event was extremely fun to put on and perform in, and I hope that this event retains the same popularity in the future.
