This experimental film is an exploration of Alzheimer’s disease, not through statistics or explanation, but through emotion, atmosphere, and image. It is an artistic attempt to capture what cannot always be said: the confusion, the disorientation, the beauty and fragility of memory itself.
Created by a team of four students (U6 Andrew, Angelique, Jayci and Linlu), this work is a shared vision born out of collaboration. The film is inspired by their experience volunteering at Hospice in the
Weald.
“Through moments of clarity, silence and moments of gentle connections, we witnessed the vulnerability and resilience of memories. These encounters shaped our vision for the film and deepened our understanding of empathy and inclusion.
The elderly or Alzheimer patients are often overlooked. They, and their memories become increasingly insignificant as we advance our working worlds within
the society. We wish to raise awareness of these members within our society,
to construct one that is truly inclusive, in which everyone has equal rights and
access.”
