Congratulations to our chess team on their regional win in the U19 National Schools Chess Championships.
A team of six played against seven other teams, coming first and qualifying for the next stage. After hours of preparation and a strenuous effort, they beat the team 4-2 to win the Kent finals, qualifying for the national finals in the summer.
A team of four has also qualified for the Team Chess Challenge national finals in April, after winning 15 of their 16 games in an amazing run.
They have also qualified for the Problem Solving national finals. Very well done to all players!
