On 18 January, Emmy Shaw (L6) visited 10 Downing Street and Parliament with the RSPB. She, along with other students of the Phoenix Forum, a representative youth group of the RSPB, met with Sir John Randall, the Prime Minister’s environment advisor, and Michael Gove, the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
Emmy went in order to ask questions about various topics concerning the environment from the withdrawal bill to ocean plastics. The students also went to lobby their MPs in the Houses of Parliament.
It was a great experience and Emmy is very pleased with the work the government is doing for the environment.
