Sevenoaks School, a world‑leading, coeducational day and boarding school with a long tradition of innovation and excellence, is seeking an outstanding Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its Senior Leadership Team.

The CFO will play a central role in ensuring the Family of Schools’ financial health and long-term sustainability, aligning financial strategy with Sevenoaks’ educational vision and supporting high-quality outcomes for pupils. Reporting directly to the Head and working closely with the Governing Body, the CFO will oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial planning, budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow, capital planning, risk management and procurement.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the CFO will combine strong financial acumen and commercial awareness with the interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence needed to contribute effectively to collaborative leadership. The role involves developing and implementing financial strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing robust analysis to support decision-making.
The successful candidate will bring substantial senior financial management experience, including strategy development, engagement at board level, and oversight of complex financial systems. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work strategically and operationally, and to lead and develop high-performing teams. Candidates should be academically strong, emotionally intelligent, and able to communicate clearly and concisely with a range of stakeholders internally and externally.
