Sally Walmsley
Sally Walmsley is the Interim Chief Operating Officer. She has worked at Sevenoaks for four years, previously as Deputy Head Co-Curriculum. Sally also teaches Biology and leads on innovation across the school.
Sally is an ISI inspector, and prior to teaching she was in-house legal counsel for an investment advisory business, where she ran their legal provision across three countries, managed professional services teams and office moves, and was involved in the opening of international offices. She left the law to pursue a career in teaching and became a teacher of Biology at St Swithun’s in Winchester, where she was in due course Head of Debating, a Housemistress and Head of Sixth Form.
Sally attended boarding school and read Physiological Sciences at Exeter College, Oxford. While at Oxford, Sally was in the winning Varsity Match sailing team. In her free time she continues to enjoy being active outside, preferably on the water, and she also enjoys playing tennis and running.
Sally champions the importance of a holistic education, and is passionate about developing and sustaining a vibrant and values-led school community.
