Archery

It’s been fantastic to see archery up and running at Sevenoaks. We hope to set up some fixtures soon which will make it the 21st representative sport we offer! This fully supports our drive to provide breadth and depth opportunity to all 1,100 students.

Cricket

Our congratulations to Old Sennockian and former teacher, Chris Tavaré, who has been named as winner of the Wisden Schools Cricketer of the Year for 1972 and 1973. Chris (OS 1973) is one of just nine players to be named as a double winner in the new edition of Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack, which has listed its best schools’ cricketer for every year going back to 1900. This is a great achievement for Chris, who captained Kent and Somerset County Cricket Clubs and played international cricket for England between 1980 and 1989. He was a teacher of Biology and Cricket at Sevenoaks School for 24 years and retired in 2018.

Our Lower School kicked off their cricket fixtures with some excellent matches versus Yardley Court. Well done to Sam Chaplin scored his first 50 for Sevenoaks in the U12A fixture.

Tennis

Kobi Smith captained the victorious Kent 14U team at the 14U Boys LTA County Cup Event 2021. They beat Essex 5-1, Sussex 5-1, and Middlesex 4-2. Kobi played all three singles and won them all.
