 An impressive mix of 29 medals including 12 Gold, 11 Silver and 6 Bronze.

Basketball

As part of the South Super Region team in the Aspire All Star National Tournament, Elodie de Jong and her team did very well, finishing as runners up. A great learning experience for her and team.

Cricket

Girls’ cricket has really flourished this term and continues to grow. There have been nine teams, 23 fixtures and seven tournaments entered. The programme will only go from strength to strength and the future looks bright as highlighted by the large numbers of girls choosing cricket in the Lower School and Year 9 in particular.

Fencing

Congratulations to Amelie Tsang on winning silver at the Senior British Fencing Championships in Sheffield.

Womens’ Foil:

Maddie Gale (Y13) 26th

Mens’ Foil:

Woser Prossor (Y12) 30th

 In addition, Amelie was selected to represent Great Britain at the U23 European Championships in Tallinn, Estonia.

Hockey

Congratulations to Ruby Balcombe who has been picked for the U17 England Hockey Performance Centre Challenge Cup 2022.

It was an iInspiring day out at Lee Valley on Sunday for 30 of our hockey players, to support the Senior England hockey side in the FIH Pro League. Brilliant to see the experts at work!

Sailing

At the BSDRA SE Area Championships, Sevenoaks Sailors finished second overall in U19s and also took second and third in the U17s after a long day with almost 150 races vs 10 other schools.

Izzy Johnson competed in the Regional Junior Championships for London and the South East. This is an U16 event with Izzy finishing as the first girl, placing fourth overall.

Shooting

Sevenoaks won the triangular fixture versus Tonbridge and Sutton Valence by a margin of 42 points. Massive congratulations to Alex Flemming, who in his first year of shooting and managed to top the leader board.

Tennis

Our U15 boys’ side finished as runners up at the Eton Pairs competition.

Wakeboarding

Dana Turgeneva is competing in the girls U18 category at pre-professional level in Russia, and will enter pro-wakeboarding competitions once she turns 18.

Visit

We were delighted to welcome Olympic gold medallist Joe Choong to Sevenoaks to speak to students last week after he was invited by Zachary Raymond (L6) . Joe gave the students a lot of practical training advice and also went into detail on his career in the sport of pentathlon.
