Cricket

The U15 girls travelled to Dubai to take part in the Root 66 Dubai Cup, playing teams from India, New Zealand, and England. Ruby Marriage was named player of the tournament.

Golf

Sanjana Sharma played and won two US Kids Golf Tournaments in Kenya over Easter. These two wins have allowed her entry to a number of other tournaments on the US Kids Tour, including the Venice Open and more. Sanjana will be playing at the National Schools Finals next week and the World Championships over the summer.

Hockey

Josefina Hippe represented Surbiton Women’s 1s in the EHL Premier Division finals, Surbiton were crowned champions. She also represented England U21s over the Easter break.

Summer Knight-Thompson also represented England U18s in the Easter 4 Nations competition.

Moritz Hippe represented England U16s in the Easter 4 Nations, captaining the side for one of the matches.

Netball

The U13A team won the JCA Condover Hall Year 8 Netball Tournament in Shrewsbury.

Sailing  

The senior sailing team qualified and took part in the RYA National Team Racing Championships held at Spinnaker Lake, racing against the best Schools, universities and clubs in the country.

The Middle School sailing team also competed in the RS FEVA Spring Championships, held at Royal Torbay Yacht Club.

Squash

Ciara Boulanger has been selected to represent France in the European Junior Championships in Portugal in May.

Greg De Caux and Ethan Hu represented Kent U13s at the junior inter county championships in Sheffield. Their team finished second from the eight counties that qualified for the finals.

Swimming

Chengze Duan qualified and swam in the 100m Butterfly in the GB Swimming Championships at the London Aquatic Centre. He swam a PB of 55.53, which saw him qualify for the junior final, in which he finished 4th.

Staff news

Liz Bassett raced for Cambridge in the Veterans’ Boat Race, which finished in a dead heat.

Cath Nicholson represented England Hockey O40s at the Masters Indoor Hockey World Cup winning a bronze medal.

Old Sennockians 

Eva Okaro has been selected to represent Great Britain at the Olympics. She has been named as part of a 33-strong swimming squad heading for Paris this summer. Eva also finished second in the 50m and 100m freestyle at the GB Swimming Championships.

Ellie Allen has been selected for Scotland Student National Netball Squad.

Jemima Korvin is women’s 1st team lacrosse captain at Edinburgh University for this coming season.

Helena Kiggell and her team won the National Curling Championships. They will represent England at the World Junior B (U21) Championships in Lohja, Finland, in December.
