On Friday we hosted our annual singOFF concert with students competing in front of a panel of judges.
Students gave 11 wonderful performances to a sold-out audience of their peers, parents, and teachers. The judges gave insightful comments after each performance, and they particularly noted how amazing it was to see their students perform on stage so confidently when they’re used to seeing them in the classroom.
After all their spectacular performances, Amity Miller (Year 11) was announced as the winner for their inspiring performance of “Ragdoll”, an original song. The judges also gave special mentions to Gemma Bianco (Year 10) for bringing her performance of “Not for the Life of Me” (from Thoroughly Modern Millie) to life on the stage, as well as to Malachy Trotter for his courage to sing and play the guitar so confidently to a large audience whilst only in Year 8!
A huge thank you goes to PJ Birt, Erika Chan, and Mr Palmer for all their hard work in organising this concert in aid of West Kind Mind – for which the event raised over £3000!
Congratulations to everyone involved, it was an incredibly enjoyable evening!
