Over 700 pupils from 26 local schools took part in the Knight Frank Schools Triathlon at Sevenoaks School on Sunday 11 May.

In teams, they swam, cycled and ran a total of 1,700km combined, and have so far raised £108,000 for Restless Development and nearly 30 other charities chosen by the participating schools.

This year was the third year that Sevenoaks School has hosted the community event, with local businesses and over 2,000 attendees coming together. Thank you to our generous volunteers and Sevenoaks students who kindly gave up their Sunday to ensure the event ran smoothly.

Sally Walmsley, Deputy Head Co-curriculum at Sevenoaks School said:

‘We are absolutely thrilled with the success of this year’s Schools triathlon. It was a joy to see so many children taking part with such energy and determination, and the atmosphere was nothing short of electric – helped along by glorious sunshine, fantastic food stalls, and fun for the whole family. We are incredibly proud to announce that together we raised an outstanding £108,000, which will make a real difference to Restless Development and other local charities. A heartfelt thank you to every participant, volunteer, and supporter – this achievement truly belongs to the whole community.’

The Knight Frank Schools Triathlon is an event which captures the determination, power and compassion of young people. This year 12,000 pupils will be taking part in the Schools Triathlon to raise over £1.2 million. Thanks to the event sponsors, Knight Frank and Neilson Beach Clubs the much-needed funds raised will go directly to charity.
