Science at Sevenoaks

Share article:

On Tuesday 24 May the Pamoja Hall hosted a fast-paced and fascinating celebration of science. There were over 20 speakers, most of whom were students but included alumni, teachers and members of the design team for the new science building.

The evening was scaffolded by a tour of the new building, with each talk, experiment, video and performance representing different spaces within the proposed building. From foaming chemicals and quantum physics to the physiological effects of tea, the audience were taken on a roller coaster of the science students and staff found inspiring.

It was incredible to see the extraordinary work students do both in school and in their own time as well as gaining insights into the process of designing a new building to host the incredible science yet to be done.
