IB Geography Field Trip to Morocco

Share article:

Nineteen Lower Sixth Geographers accompanied by Mr Willis, Miss Harris and Mr Lilley went on a fieldwork expedition to Morocco for ten days at the beginning of the Easter holidays.

The students were able to experience the contrasting landscapes of Morocco, from Imlil in the High Atlas mountains down to the Saharan desert fringe at Zagora and out to the ‘windy city’ of Essaouira, with many stops in between!

They also visited the Education for All girls boarding house, which Sevenoaks School has supported for a number of years. EfA works across Morocco to enable girls from mountain villages to have an education. A great trip was had by all, with all the students returning with a greater appreciation of Morocco to support their studies.
