Entrepreneurial Programmes

The Summer term saw the running of two new entrepreneurial programmes: a pitching competition, Dragons’ Hollow and the Sevenoaks Hackathon 2025.

The Hackathon ran in early June, with teams competing in one of three briefs: Embedded Systems, Smart Cities and Local AI. The teams worked for 12 hours, racing to build the ultimate technical demos. Congratulations to the winning team, OffGrid AI: Cyusa, Vladimir, Lucas and Zach.
Dragons’ Hollow, the school’s entrepreneurial pitching competition, saw students are working eagerly in teams to devise innovative commercial solutions to customer problems, aided by workshops run by parents and OS on product ideation, development and validation. Students used YCombinator and Harvard Business School resources to assemble pitch decks for their business ideas. Eventually a handful of finalist teams presented wonderfully to a panel of Mr Elzinga and four other Dragons. Congratulations to the winning team, EconoMe: Charlotte, Summer, Rachel and Hailey. The EconoMe team will go on to take part in a summer work experience programme at a London-based venture capital firm.
