On Friday 3 February the Sevenoaks School Performing Arts Centre hosted a highly successful Dance Show that saw 30 of our students perform in a variety of dance acts. The event, which was organised by group of Lower Sixth students, involved diverse styles including Ballet, Modern, Tap, Hip Hop, Acro and Indian classical dance. In a fantastic collaborative effort, our dancers were supported by student musicians through compositions and live performances. While dancers of all levels of experience and age contributed, the show exhibited a strong level of professionalism, thoroughly impressing the audience. The event has generated around £1,000 for charity with revenues going to the school’s PROMO trips to Mumbai and Rajasthan. We already look forward to organising next year’s Dance Show, for which we will again welcome contributions from all students with an interest in dance.
