A huge well done to Nik and Daniel (Year 7) for their excellent solution to this year’s £10 Challenge – a book stall at Bligh’s Market in Sevenoaks town.
Each student in Year 7 received £10 to use as seed capital to start their own mini social enterprise. Nik and Daniel decided to collect books to sell to raise funds for their chosen charity, Friends for Families.
With around 100 books, they set up a stall at the market, and successfully raised £155!
The £10 Challenge is part of the Society and Change curriculum in Year 7, one of our Core Critical Thinking courses which aims to introduce students to different ways to make a positive difference in the world, and to help them to think critically and empathetically about improving the lives of others.
