Our CCF team have won the regional 11 HQSE Brigade military skills competition.
We defended the title for the second year running and have again gained a place at the prestigious Cambrian patrol competition.
Tasks included extracting casualties from a simulated minefield, military knowledge tests, shooting and communications and each posed a different type of challenge.
The team performed exceptionally well, overcome substantial challenges posed by Tonbridge, TWGGS, Sutton Valence, Maidstone among ten other teams.
Particular credit goes to our team captain Cadet CSM Seb Bray, for delivering clear orders and keeping calm under considerable pressure. Cadet Sgt Nadia Reavy also achieved an astonishing score with the air rifle and Cadet Sgts Bruno Millward and Jaiman Abson kept us competitive with their contributions in archery and laser clay shooting. Cadet CPO Olly Hornshaw, who joined the team from the Royal Navy Cadets, was extremely effective with his substantial knowledge of radios, communications and military history.
Huge congratulations to the team, and best of luck in the Cambrian patrol.
