Sporting Highlights

Well done to our students for two exciting weeks of sport, with some fabulous team and individual successes in football, cross country, hockey, squash and swimming

Cross country

At the Knole Run, the girls’ team finished third and the boys fifth. Congratulations to the following on their performances:

Football

Omer Eren was selected to represent the London Turkish football team to play against the Northern Cyprus national team.

Club Hockey

Summer Knight-Thompson’s hockey club won the U18 national indoor title. Summer and Carlotta Kern played in the senior national indoor finals.

Squash

Ciara Boulanger finished 34th at the British and European Squash Championships in Birmingham which featured players from all over the world.

Swimming

At the Kent Individual Championships, Sevenoaks swimmers won two golds, one silver and three bronze medals. Congratulations to:

  • Gold: Charles Dunstan inter 100m butterfly, Tom Ellershaw junior 100m backstroke
  • Silver: Amelia Tovey senior 200m IM
  • Bronze: Tom Ellershaw junior 100m breaststroke, Chengze Duan senior 100m freestyle, Peony Lee senior 100m butterfly
