Well done to Francesca Norris and Enzo Breda Lee, our Sixth Form students who took part in the Spanish debating competition. The competition took place at King’s College School Wimbledon on Tuesday. Even though our students did not make it to the semi-finals, they debated really well and we feel extremely proud of their participation.

The motions they debated were:

Tradición o maltrato animal – Las corridas de Toro (Tradition or animal cruelty? Bullfighting.)

El aborto debería ser legal en todos los países latinoamericanos (Abortion should be legalised in all Latin American countries.)

We teach Spanish from Year 7 to the Upper Sixth – it’s a popular subject at IGCSE and IB and is just one of the many languages taught in our amazing Modern Languages Faculty. All our students study a modern foreign language from Year 7, two from Year 8 and either a modern foreign language or a classical language at IB, all supported by a great co-curricular languages programme.
