The Year 7 choir burst into song with a joyful rendition of ‘Happy’ by Pharrell Williams’; this was followed impressively by ‘Mas Que Nada’ by Sergio Mendes, which was sung pitch perfect in Portuguese. The choir ended their medley with a stomping performance of ‘All Star’ by Smash Mouth.
Following the interval, the captivated audience listened to the Sennocke Consort perform ‘Moonraker’ and ‘From Russia with Love’ by John Barry and Lionel Bart; arranged by Mr Dyer and directed by Mr Morgan.
The senior singers of the Upper Voices and Chorus groups moved us with the evocative ‘Hymn of the Fallen’ by John Williams and ‘The Entertainer’ by Scott Joplin.
Fans of James Bond music were not disappointed as the evening ended with a rousing finale of 007 themes by the Choral Society and The Parents and Friends Choir directed by Mr Harvey.
