Service and Partnerships
ISP Publications
Our Service and Partnerships programme is rich and broad. While the full depth of this work is difficult to distil into publications, these documents capture its essence. They offer a window into the opportunities created at Sevenoaks School for both those giving and those receiving service, as well as the breakthroughs and lessons learned along the way.
ISP impact report
We are delighted to share our first Service and Partnerships Impact Report. The report endeavours to capture both the breadth and depth of our programme, as well as its significant impact for both our external partners and our students here at Sevenoaks. Service is at the heart of a Sevenoaks education and, almost 600 years after the school was founded, it remains at the heart of our purpose.
KAN IMpact report
The Kent Academies Network (KAN) is our flagship partnership, supporting state‑educated students in pursuing higher education. Each year, we publish an impact report summarising progress and outcomes. Find out more about KAN here.
service in the co-curriculum
Outside of the classroom, many students offer their own time and energy to initiatives such as the Environmental Action Group, Laos Conversation Scheme, Art at Hospice in the Weald.
Participating in Service enables students to develop transferable skills that will be key to success after their time at Sevenoaks, such as decision-making, teamwork, adaptability and initiative. The service group activities on a Thursday are largely student-led.
The wide range of the weekly service groups offered can be found in the Welcome to Service handbook below.
Fusion magazine
Sevenoaks students share their passion for science with younger audiences by participating in the Fusion magazine service group. In the process, students strengthen their creativity, teamwork, collaboration, and leadership skills.
During STEM Week, local primary pupils are invited to submit their science questions, with selected entries featured in Fusion.
