Midway through the higher education admissions cycle, our Upper Sixth students have already received an impressive range of offers from UK, US and international universities.

This year 207 Sevenoaks students have applied through UCAS to UK universities, and to date they have received 480 UK offers, including 31 offers from Oxford and Cambridge (17 from Oxford and 14 from Cambridge), 40 offers from Durham, 45 from UCL and 69 from Exeter.

Large numbers of our students continue to apply abroad: nearly 20 per cent of the year group. Twelve students have received unconditional offers from prestigious American institutions, namely Stanford, Brown, University of Chicago, UPenn – Engineering, , Dartmouth, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Michigan – Engineering, Bowdoin, Amherst, and one student received an offer with a leadership scholarship to Colorado College. This early application round for the US is a highly competitive entry point – early US applicants are the best in the world and the most able and motivated students globally.

Seventeen students are also applying to Canadian universities, including McGill, Toronto and UBC; one student to Hong Kong universities, and more than 20 students applying across Europe, to universities including Bocconi, Erasmus, St Gallen and Sciences Po, with one student having already received an early offer from Bocconi.
