The U13 Netball team were determined to maintain their title winning ways at the U13 County tournament on Tuesday. We knew it was going to be a tough ordeal facing seven pool matches round a quarter-final, semi-final and final.

We started our morning strong by winning all their pool games. We faced a competitive Walthamstow Hall team in the quarter-finals, and knew this was going to be our toughest game of the day. With what could of easily of been the final, both teams went out strong and it was going goal for goal the entire match.

When the whistle finally went the score ended 6-6. With an extra four minutes having to be played it went down to who could keep their cool under this pressure and maximise their chances to score. We came out as the stronger side in this instance, winning the match 8-6.

With this well-fought match with under our belt, we needed to regain focus for the next two matches in hand. A semi-final match again Dartford Grammar finishing 6-2 meant we would face Tonbridge in the final. This was a replay of the final we faced last year.

A positive start from our team meant we took an early lead, but Tonbridge kept fighting and clawing the lead back. With a minute to go the score was 7-6 to Sevenoaks. A critical turnover was well converted by our shooters, following by a quick centre pass to goal meant the final score finished 9-6 to Sevenoaks. Congratulations to the team!
