Students and local schools enjoy Frantic Assembly workshop

Share article:

The Drama department organised a Frantic Assembly (who worked on ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’) residency at the school in November. The practitioners not only worked with Year 10 to Upper Sixth students from Sevenoaks School, but the department also organised outreach to several schools in the area, subsidised a training day for local teachers, and offered a mixed schools workshop too.

Frantic Assembly led the participants through physically creative workshops enabling them to be able to use innovative tools in their devising work in the future. Students learnt how to lift, fly, catch people and walk on walls. They also created some beautiful theatrical duets too, where dance-style movement becomes an expression of sub-text and tension.                                                                                                                        Please click here to see the photos
