Athletics

We were the overall winners at the Duke of York’s Invitational Cup, competing against schools including Duke of York’s, King’s Canterbury and Dover College. Our junior and inter teams will be competing at the first round of the English Schools Cup this week.

Cricket

The U13A side had convincing wins versus Christ’s Hospital and Dartford Grammar in the first round of the Kent Cup, and the U14A team are also through to the next round of the Kent Cup.

Hockey

Congratulations to Kate Nicholls who has been playing for the Kent U14 team this season.

Tennis

Sophie Dargan and Charlotte Imbert made the U16 final at the Harpenden LTC doubles.

We had a successful day at the Kent Doubles. All seven pairs of the boys’ teams were quarter-finalists, and Oscar Brown and Kai Hayashi were overall winners in the inter boys competition. The inter girls finished winners and runners-up. The U13 boys won 6-0 at the National Cup round 1 versus Skinners.

Our teams won five out of eight fixtures versus Ardingly in last week’s fixtures, without our top ladies players who were competing at the Kent Doubles.

Shooting

The team did extremely well at the Kent Rifle League West Kent Rifle League

Short Range Championship, where the ladies team won at senior and junior level and Anastasia Spiridonova, competing in her last event for the school, shot 292 out of 300, an outstanding effort. Her score was only one point below the overall champion. Gavriil Kochevrin, Barty Wardell, Eliza Hockey and Cecilia Catuogno-Cal also won medals.
