Athletics

Phoebe Barker won silver in her first 3000m race at the Nationals. She also achieved a personal best this weekend.  

Grace Fleming finished third at the Kent 3K championships this weekend

Lucinda White threw 37.74m to set a new personal best and a UK YDL League Record, and is now ranked number four on the U13G all-time list, only 37cm off the British U13G Record.

Sevenoaks hosted its first Co-Ed athletics fixture versus Christ’s Hospital and Hurstpierpoint and won overall.

Congratulations to the following who have qualified for the National IAPS in Birmingham in July:

U13:

  • Georgia Baker: 100m and High Jump (A string)
  • Anais Fernandez-Laaksonen: 800m (A string)
  • Telia Green: 1500m (A string)
  • Annabel Cheveley: Long Jump (A string)
  • Lucinda White: 75m Hurdles (A string) Javelin (B string)
  • Katie Willis: Discus (B string)
  •  4 x 100m relay team: A string (Georgia, Lucinda, Annabel, Anais)

U14:

  • Isabelle Fox: Discus (A string)
  • Issy Cluley: 200m (B string)
  • Alex Evans: 1500m (B string)
  • Maddie Wise: 1500m (A string)
  • 4 x 100m relay: (B string) (Kasope E, Issy C, Issy F, Elena T)

Cricket

Our teams won two out of five fixtures versus King’s Canterbury.

This is the first time in up to 16 years that our school teams have beaten King’s Canterbury at 1st XI cricket and 1st XV rugby in the same season.

Cycling

Jon Dunlop (Y7) completed the 60 mile London to Brighton bike ride.

Rounders

Congratulations to our teams who won every match which they played against Sutton Valance

Sailing

Congratulations to Nicholas Davies who has been selected to represent Switzerland at the upcoming European Sailing Championships at Gdynia in Poland and the World Championships at Medemblick in the Netherlands. This is after completing winter training with the Swiss Sailing Talent Pool. Nicholas will be sailing in the Laser Radial class.

Tennis

Congratulations to Hugo Coquelin who was part of the Under 12 GB Team that won the International Team trophy this week at Queenswood, UK. They beat Croatia in the final yesterday. Hugo won all his singles matches versus opponents from Czech Republic, Belgium, Poland and Croatia. Hugo has been selected for GB again at the end of July for the Summer Cup in France.

Matt Collins and Oscar Brown reached the final of the St George’s Pairs.

The U15 Boys team won the Kent round of the tennis team national cup. 

Our teams drew two matches and won two matches versus Culford and Cranbrook.
