Sporting Highlights

We’ve had some brilliant individual performances for sport over the half term break in swimming, athletics and gymnastics as well as some great team play from the U13 girls cricket team.

Athletics

At the 2019 London Schools’ Combined Events Championships, Georgia Baker came first overall out of Kent, Middlesex and London schools with an impressive score of 2802 in the Pentathlon.

Following her Kent County Gold, Lucinda White competed in the UK Javelin Carnival at Loughborough University over half term. In a close fought contest, she gained Silver with her throw of 38.38m. Meanwhile, her throw last month of 42.22m continues to maintain her position at the top the UK Rankings.

Sabrina Sinha (OS) won the prestigious Westminster Mile in the U20 age category.  

Cricket

The U13 girls had a fantastic day at the Lady Taverners indoor national finals at Lords Cricket ground. They finished third overall and also enjoyed a tour of the historic ground.

Gymnastics

Suzie Broadfield and her partner represented London at the Acrobatic NDP national finals and placed fifth.  

Swimming

Louis Hayes has qualified for the British Summer Championships in 8 events (50Free, 100Free & 200Free, 50Fly & 100Fly, 50Back, 50Breast and 200IM).

The following pupils have also qualified for the England National Summer meet:

  • Kara Dimond (100Breast)
  • Louis Hayes (100&200Back)
  • Izabella Okaro (100Back)
  • Zachary Raymond (50,100 & 200Free)
  • Elspeth Watson (200Fly)
