Over 60 students from 27 different countries took part in our online Summer Programme with lessons in Critical Thinking and Social Leadership taught live over Zoom throughout the month of July.

The Critical Thinking course, which draws on elements of Core Critical Thinking and Theory of Knowledge, focused on Artificial Intelligence and the various threats and opportunities it presents to societies now and in the near future. Miss Power wrote the syllabus and taught the course in Session One while Mr Lacey, Mrs FitzGerald and Mr Rhatigan also taught the later sessions.

Social Leadership focused on some of the inequalities that exist in the world, particularly in light of Covid-19, and asked students to work together in groups to come up with innovative solutions. The course was written by Miss Davison and was taught by Mrs Hargreaves, Mrs Bonsall and Miss Bolton.

While we were unfortunately unable to welcome students to the school campus as planned, we were delighted to be able to successfully run our online programme for the second year running.  Many of the students who took part are going to be joining the school in September while others are hoping to join in the future, and we sincerely look forward to welcoming them all to Sevenoaks in person.
