On Friday 19 January were delighted to welcome Professor Richard Harvey, Academic Director of Admissions and Internationalisation, University of East Anglia, to speak to our Lower Sixth students about university admissions. He gave an outstanding presentation followed by a question and answer session. He covered a number of topics including choosing a university, the admissions process and the common pitfalls. He stressed the importance of course choice, and gave an insight into writing personal statements, making a firm and insurance choice, and other tips for making a competitive application. This was the first in a series of talks in the Lent Higher Education programme and our students benefited greatly from Professor Harvey’s expertise and insights.
