National Children's Orchestra achievement

Three members of the Lower School have been awarded places in the National Children’s Orchestra: Ellie Curson (trombone, U12 orchestra), Benji Brandon (double bass, U12 orchestra) and Helena Kiggell (French horn, U13 orchestra). In addition, Ellie has been awarded the Leverhulme Scholarship, which is quite an accolade.

The NCO is the best youth orchestra for seven to 14-year-olds in the UK. It recognises musical talent and potential and provides a brilliant platform for young musicians to develop their talents. Entry is highly competitive, with auditions taking place around the whole of the UK, for some 1500 applicants.
