Performing Shakespeare Competition

Congratulations to Marcel Steinbauer-Lewis and Krish Misra for reaching the national grand finals of the Performing Shakespeare Competition presented by the English Speaking Union. In addition to their success, James Ellershaw was awarded the Judges’ Commendation for acting, which is the highest accolade achievable at the regional final level. Both Marcel and Krish, who have performed in our Sackville Theatre productions, will be competing against other students from across the country to be crowned the winner of this prestigious competition on 25 June. ‘May good luck go with thee…’

New Views Festival 2021

Well done to Marcel Steinbauer-Lewis and Rosina White Belchere who were longlisted in the National Theatre’s New Views Festival competition. Over 600 scripts submitted in 2020 and 2021 and these have been narrowed down to a list of 150 scripts. The standard has been exceptional this year and students should be incredibly proud of the work they’ve done.
