19 September saw the official opening of our new boarding house, Aisher House.

Bringing new character to our international boarding community, the striking new building provides a home from home for 60 Middle and Upper School boys. Study bedrooms are clustered around their own social and communal hubs, providing all year groups with light, modern facilities.

The house has been named after one of the school’s great benefactors, the Aisher family. Jack Aisher was a local businessman and philanthropist, and a Governor from 1964 to 1986. The family supported the building of the Aisher Hall Music Centre in 1967 and the Marley Sports Hall in 1977.

Robert Froy, who served with Jack Aisher on the governing body, officially opened the new boarding house and we were delighted that three members of the Aisher family were also able to attend.

Aisher House is the latest project to be funded by Sevenoaks School Foundation.
