CCF cadets from the Army section enjoyed an action-packed five-day camp at Crowborough in July with activities spanning adventure training and military skills. Sevenoaks School gained first place overall in the competition phases.

We won a number of events, including survival, indoor shooting and obstacle course. Our cadets also came second in drill, clay pigeon shooting and an escape room. In total there were 12 units competing, consisting of roughly 400 cadets, 33 of whom were from Sevenoaks.

Special mention for superb leadership goes to our senior cadet, Seb Bray (who won the Best Cadet on Camp trophy) and developing leader, Sam Ide. Two of our cadets were asked to lead the Magdalen College team as they were short of leaders: well done Ed Fussell and Ben Hunter. Both received extremely positive feedback from Magdalen staff and Cadet Training team staff and were superb ambassadors for the school. Ben showed particular leadership and empathy helping a cadet suffering with anxiety to complete the obstacle course. All our cadets had a great time.
