FAQ: Open Mornings

When is the next Open Morning?

What are Year 7 and Year 9 Open Mornings?
These are taster sessions for up to 100 families interested in 11+ or 13+ entry. The programme includes a short presentation, time for questions and a tour of the campus. Boarding tours are available.

What happens at the summer Open Morning?
As well as a presentation and campus tour, there is usually a chance to meet Heads of Departments and other senior staff. This Open Morning is suitable for those interested in Year 7, Year 9 or Sixth Form entry and often attracts over 500 visitors.

Is there a programme of events or can I arrive at any time during the morning?
There is a programme and we advise that you arrive for the first session. Details will be available on the Open Mornings page during the weeks before an event. Where possible, we also send a reminder email to those who have booked.

What time does it end?
Usually these events are over by 12.30pm.

Do I need to book?
We would be grateful if you would book so that we know how many visitors to expect. Please complete a booking form (usually published a few months before an event), linked from the Open Mornings page.

Can I bring my children?
Children are welcome, but as a guideline we suggest the Open Mornings are most suitable for those in Year 4 and above. The mornings include a presentation of 20-30 minutes. There is no separate programme for very young children.

Is there parking at the school?
Parking is usually available at Open Mornings, signposted from the A225 (Tonbridge Road). Click here for directions to the school. Parking may be limited during wet weather.

Is there disabled access?
The school campus is adapted for disabled access. Please let us know if you require disabled parking. Any prospective parent who requires wheelchair access when they visit the school is encouraged to contact the Admissions department in advance.

I cannot attend on any of these days. Can I visit at another time?
Yes. Individual visits are available by appointment with the relevant assistant registrar throughout the year during term time:
